SARS: Foolish Fad

I've commented about a silly fashion trend inspired by SARS.

We were in a mall after a movie when I spotted a rack full of covers that can be worn over surgical masks. They were only HK$10, so I bought one to give you a better view of what they look like:

View large image I chose the knockoff Hello Kitty model, because I look good in blue.

Step One: Get serious.

Step Two: Cover face with 3-ply surgical mask. Adjust to fit the face.

Step Three: Cast doubt on how this goofy cover is going to look once applied.

Step Four: Feel like an ass.

There you have it. I may wear a surgical mask to protect myself in crowded places, but this is the only time you'll ever see me following yet another dumb fad.

Now where did I leave my Hello Kitty t-shirt?
