Risky Translation

Online translators are becoming more sophisticated.

This is a rendering of my site's main tagline via Altavista's Babelfish:

View large imageI can read only part of it, so I'm not certain the translation came out right. I'll have to ask my wife.

Reverse-translating through Babelfish doesn't help. When I tried that, it spat this out: One big Caucasian's risk lives in Hong Kong. I had to read it twice to make sure it didn't say: One big Caucasian risks lives in Hong Kong, because that wouldn't be truthful.

Conclusion: Don't expect this site to be written in Chinese anytime soon.
