Keel-Hauled By Microsoft

Pirated copies of Microsoft Office XP are being sold for HK$50 (about US$6.40), whereas the legitimate version retails for HK$4,229 (US$542).

This is after Microsoft cut its prices in the region. And they wonder why piracy is still rampant? Why is that a quick search on the web reveals the same software is available in the US for as low as $323? How does Microsoft justify the additional $219?

Who are the real pirates?
