All That Glitters Is Gold

There's a lady who's sure all that glitters is gold
And she's buying a stairway to heaven ...

Gold is often shaped into Chinese ingots (an auspicious symbol of wealth and good fortune), characters, and more often than not, the 12 animals of the Chinese Zodiac. Gold here tends to be higher in carats than Western gold and thus retains a richer colour when fashioned into merchandise.

No matter what shape it takes, it's sure to catch your eye under the blazing lights of the shop windows.
