Shock The Monkey

On my way to Hong Kong cemetery, I spotted this gecko hugging the stippled ceiling of a pedestrian subway:

View large image It was a great subject. I moved close to it in macro mode and it didn't flinch.

At the cemetery, as I walked a quiet path on high ground, a sudden burst of noise in the foliage startled me. It was a monkey, but it was so deep under cover I couldn't make out where it had gone to hide. I startled it too.

Next time, I'll bring a banana.
