Dog Gone

Park 'N Shop, one of the two large supermarket chains in Hong Kong, has decided to no longer sell dog meat in its outlets in mainland China.

When the practice was revealed, Hong Kong consumers threatened to boycott the supermarket. In China, the sale of dog meat is legal.

To most Hong Kongers, eating a dog would be like eating a member of the family.
