Train Dodge

A young man fell onto the tracks at an MTR station as the train was bearing down on him, yet he lived.

He fainted (he'd donated blood two hours prior), tumbled off the platform and landed beside the tracks with one of his legs extended over a rail.

His friends shouted at him to move his leg as the train was approaching, and he had enough presence of mind to pull it back and lay flat as the train pulled in. He was then pulled to safety and sent to the hospital with nothing more than a sore back.

It would be something to keep in mind, but once the MTR completes installation of platform doors at all its stations, accidents like this will be impossible.
