Aberdeen Grenadier

While taking a walk, a resident of Shouson Hill Road in Aberdeen found an unexploded British-made M36 grenade.

Hong Kong Island saw a lot of action during WWII when the Japanese invaded, and there's still a lot of ordnance laying about that could detonate.

The bomb squad said it was too eroded and unstable to move; they detonated it on the spot using a controlled explosion. No one needed evacuation as it was more than 50 meters from any homes.

The unwritten rule: if you see anything metallic and rusty, whether walking in the woods or digging in the ground ... run away.
