Steven Leung of Hong Kong faked his own death in the attacks on September 11th in an effort to evade prosecution for passport fraud.

He was busted in New York by US Marshals.

He used a false document to demonstrate that he worked for Cantor-Fitzgerald as an independent contractor (they lost 658 employees in the attacks on the World Trade Center), then posed as two fictitious brothers to get a death certificate in his name.

He's a scumbag not because he committed fraud, but because he trafficked in the suffering and misery of the families who lost loved ones in the attacks. Authorities in the US said Leung could face up to 35 years in prison if convicted on charges of bail jumping, obstruction of justice and passport fraud.

Instead of 35 years in jail, they should give him 306,600 hours of community service, working for the families of the real victims.

Given what he's done, he wouldn't last three hours.
